We arrive at POR on 11/26. How soon in advance can we request a sharps container from Mousekeepers? I would like to request adjoining rooms to accommodate my daughter but thought I needed to wait until 10 days before arrival. Thanks! Love your panel.

    Hi Kim,

You make your room requests immediately so that they get in the system. You can do this by calling Disney directly at 407-W-DISNEY. This will get the process started for you. You should also call your hotel directly about 5 days in advance, asking for the back office or the room assignment office. It's at this point that rooms are actually being assigned, so you want to double check that your requests are in the system.

A few things that might be important for you ... In Disney terminology, "adjoining" rooms are those that are simply next to each other in the hallway. "Connecting" rooms are those that have an internal door between them, so that you do not have to go into the hallway to access the other half of your party. Be sure you ask for the one that you want. Also, if you need connecting room because of a medical situation then be sure to mention this in your request. Medical needs are given priority.

You can make your sharps container request when you make your room request. I wouldn't worry too much about this though. Disney has a large supply of these on hand and you'd almost certainly be able to get get one within minutes even if you did not make a request.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
