Welcome back, Karen! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up quickly! I know I am looking forward to getting away from all this cold and snow on my trip in a few weeks, how about you?
Advance dining reservations for table service dining locations are
available up to 60 days in advance, and many Guests are sure to book their preferred locations right at that 60-day mark. That being said, other Guests' plans change all the time, so it is definitely possible you could see reservations become available in the days leading up to your trip. If there is a particular restaurant you have your heart set on, keep checking! The
My Disney Experience mobile app will be your friend. You can check for available tables, even on the day of your visit. The app also has a
walk-up waitlist available for many locations.
If you can't nab that coveted dinner reservation, I have some other ideas for you. Try looking for a lunch or late breakfast reservation instead of dinner. Consider dining locations outside the theme parks at nearby
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. I actually prefer getting out of the hustle and bustle of the theme parks for a bit to enjoy a relaxing meal. Some great choices that are all a short boat, bus, monorail, or stroll away from a theme park are
Grand Floridian Cafe,
Steakhouse 71,
Ale & Compass Restaurant, Boma - Flavors of Africa,
Sanaa, and many others.
Don't overlook quick-service dining locations. There are some really great options! Some of my favorites are Woody's Lunch Box and Docking Bay 7 at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Satu'li Canteen and Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Sleepy Hollow and Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom Park, and Regal Eagle Smokehouse and Yorkshire County Fish Shop at EPCOT. All of these locations offer
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, which is so convenient! My family browses menus and builds our order while waiting in line for an attraction, and then we just hit the "I'm here, prepare my order" button when we are ready to eat.
Since your visit coincides with the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, you'll be able to enjoy the delectable dishes offered at the
outdoor food studios, no reservations required! And how about all the
special 50th Anniversary treats during The World's Most Magical Celebration? On my upcoming trip next month, I intentionally did not make any dining reservations, as I plan to nosh my way around the 'World!
I hope that helps! Karen, if you'd like any additional dining tips or suggestions, please come visit us again at planDisney real soon. Have a wonderful trip!
