We arrive Jan 4, will we get free water park access on our day of arrival?

Hello, Crystal, and thanks for trusting planDisney to help you with your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You'll be arriving any second, so let's look at the splashy details of the Water Park Benefit for 2026.

In 2025, guests staying at eligible Disney Resort Hotels received complimentary admission to a water park on their arrival day, and many families took advantage of this popular perk. As of now, the website indicates that this benefit ended on December 31. I confirmed with a sunscreen-loving Cast Member, who said this bonus is not currently offered, likely because water park hours are limited in the winter months.

The good news is that if you return in the summer of 2026, you can once again take advantage of the Water Park Benefit! The weather will be more conducive to cowabungas, so here's to a future visit! I recommend watching the website or the Disney Parks Blog for announcements and dates.

If your heart is set on some splashtastic fun, I'm happy to let you know that Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open this month. You might be interested in the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass, which starts at $89 (subject to change) and is valid for unlimited use through May 9, with a few blockout dates. I can't think of a better way to relax after a morning in the theme parks than sipping a frozen concoction by a lazy river ride. Ahhhh...

Crystal, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and beach towels so you make many magical memories this week. Please come back to planDisney anytime; I'll just be lounging on a beach chair in the meantime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
