We arrive in just a few days, with our 4 yo. I have ADR at both CRT and Akershus. Will 2 princess events seeing different women dressed as the princesses take away from the magic. Should I cancel Akerhus? Also have ADR at Chef M & HollyW&vine

    Hi Jessica,

I have three daughters and have been to MANY princess character meals. I've thought about this question a lot.

My experience has been that while we as adults may see that it's a "different" Belle at the Royal Table and Akershus (and at Enchanted Tales with Belle, and at the meet & greet at the France pavilion, and in the parade, and in the Fantasmic show, etc.), the vast majority of children under the age of 7 or 8 will not notice any variation in the characters. For kids, it's all about the hair and the dress and the mannerisms. They see the Cinderella dress and they think "There's Cinderella," not "Hey, why did Cinderella's nose look a little different yesterday."

You can also help ease the situation along by proactively "reminding" the character that they've encountered your child before. For example, as Jasmine approaches, say "Hi Jasmine, this is my daughter Susie, remember how you met her at the Royal Table yesterday." Jasmine will understand your meaning and easily segue into, "Oh, how nice to see you again." You can even approach the character handler in the restaurant to have them prompt the character with a tidbit or two from your previous meeting.

When my girls were four years old, they simply couldn't get enough princess interaction. We often did CRT and Akerhus in the same trip and never had any issues with confusion or loss of magic. My guess is that you will experience the same.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
