Hi Kristi,
First, I'm sending mama hugs to you! While your lives will surely be blessed by adding two more Mouseketeers to your family, it is an adjustment. My husband and I adopted two children at one time and, much like you are doing now, we had to rethink nearly everything - bedrooms, cars, and yes, even vacations.
My first piece of advice would be to call (407) 939-5277 and speak with a Cast Member to find out what options you have for your upcoming trip. While there is not any financial assistance available, a Cast Member could see if there is any way to make changes to your plans to help your trip fit into your budget. Having a large family myself, I've learned a few cost-saving tips through the years, and I'd be happy to share some of them with you.
One easy area in which to save some money is food. I just shared quite a few tips a few weeks ago on
how to feed a large family on a budget, so I'd encourage you to check those out. There are also are a lot of fun and free things to do around the Walt Disney World Resort! If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I'd encourage you to pick up a recreation calendar when you arrive and take advantage of all of the activities! My family also loves touring the different Resort hotels; they're all so different and the attention to detail is incredible. Visiting the Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney's BoardWalk (especially in the evening!), and
Disney Springs are always lots of fun, too, and don't cost anything. My family even loves going for a ride on a boat or the monorail. Just being right in the middle of the magic is something truly special!
I'm sending some pixie dust that you'll be able to work something out and still enjoy a magical Disney vacation with your family, Kristi!
Missy
