Hi Moms! We arrive in 5 days. Whahoo! We have ADR @ Crystal Palace @ 9:25am. We plan to drive to MK from our resort, POFQ. How long should we allocate for the drive, the parking at MK, entrance and walking to the Crystal Palace? Thanks!

    Hi Rose,

You're so close to leaving now, how exciting!!!

The drive from Port Orleans French Quarter to the Ticket and Transportation Centre near to Magic Kingdom will take roughly 10 minutes but you should leave some extra time incase of traffic. Once there you will need to catch a tram to the actual centre and then either ride the monorail or catch the boat over to the main Magic Kingdom entrance. This could all take about 30 minutes plus you then need to allow time to go through bag check and the turnstiles. The walk from the entrance to the Crystal Palace is quite short, only about 5 minutes. So all in all I would suggest you allow at least an hour to make this trip.

Driving around WDW is generally quicker than taking the bus, Magic Kingdom is the exception though. The Disney buses will drop you right outside the main entrance to MK so saving you from catching a tram and then the monorail/boat. The journey to MK from POFQ takes about 17 minutes so you may want to consider using the buses on your Magic Kingdom days rather than driving.

Hope that helps and you have a fantastic trip,

    Jo
