We arrive 10/9 & are booked at BW Villas but a family member canceled so instead of two rooms, we just need 1 two bed villa now. Only AK is available. Can you tell me the differences between the two buildings & what to do on an off day w/2 boys age

    Hi Junell!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is my family’s favorite! We prefer Kidani Village, but both have their own flavor and a lot to offer.

At Jambo House you will be closer to the action. With one of the best buffets on property, a Signature Dining restaurant and a quick service location, delicious food is always just steps away. You’ll be greeted by a soaring four story lobby, and large glass windows that overlook the savanna. One bedroom villas at Jambo House feature all the amenities you would expect in a villa including a washer and dryer and full kitchen.

The atmosphere at Kidani Village is quieter. Sanaa, the restaurant located at the resort is a hidden gem. Dine while you overlook the giraffes and zebras on the savanna! There is not a quick service location at this resort though, which for me is the only down-side. The pool area is beautiful, and there is an amazing splash-play area in addition to the pool and waterslide. The other reason we enjoy Kidani Village is that the 1 Bedroom Villas feature a second bathroom. For us, having this second bathroom really makes everyone happier!

There is no shortage of activities at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas. In fact, I think it probably offers more than any other resort. You will find the usual daily pool party, campfire and movies under the stars. Additionally you’ll find many educational and cultural activities that are offered daily. My three sons love these little extras. Many of these activities offer a collectible bead that kids can collect as they complete each experience. Kidani Village also offers a Community Hall just off the lobby. It has video games, a foosball table, a pool table, games, crafts and movies. My kids actually BEG to go to Community Hall. I think you and your boys will find no shortage of things to do and enjoy at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas!

    Happy Planning!
