Hello we arrive on April 3-10. Traveling with 2 adult and 3 children ages 8,6, and 4 celebrating the 4 year olds birthday here at Walt Disney "loves princess". We are staying at Coronado. What do u recommend on doing that first night?Anyrecommend

Hi, Ethel!  You are probably in full packing mode right now, trying to get everyone ready for vacation!  I'm sure you don't have too much time to be sitting on the computer, so I'll try to make this quick!

What to do the first night depends on when you arrive and if you plan to do a theme park.  We usually spend our first evening at Downtown Disney if we arrive late in the day.  This gives the kids a quick taste of the Walt Disney World theming, and we usually let them each pick out a t-shirt or hat to wear their first day in the parks.  We'll grab a quick bite at the Earl of Sandwich, and let them ride the carousel or the train.  If the weather is warm enough, we bring a quick change of clothes and let them play in the fountains - which is great fun after a long day in the car or on a plane.

They might also enjoy the Lego Playground - especially seeing all the Lego pieces and building something awesome!  The little one might like the wee little playground, but the other two might think it's too young for them.

If you do have theme park tickets, nothing beats going to sleep your first night in Walt Disney World like standing in front of Cinderella Castle to watch Wishes, the nightly fireworks show.  It's better than the best bedtime story!

    Enjoy your trip, Ethel!
