Hey, Julie! My family usually spends at least one day away from the parks to visit Disney Springs. Be sure and take a look at their new website and check out all of the
great dining options waiting for you there. If you would rather go resort-hopping, I have several great dining options for you.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort gets my vote for best all-around Quick-Service dining locations! You may want to hang out at this resort all day to eat, shop, and get in on the island vibe. For breakfast, stop by Capt. Cook’s for the famous Tonga Toast. Visit the Pineapple Lanai for a Pineapple Float, but be sure to save room for a taste of the islands (with a gorgeous view!) at the Oasis Bar and Grill.
If you are looking for something totally different for breakfast, head to The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and try the African Inspired Breakfast Platter. When we have visited, there has been a meal-of-the-day, such as a Waffle with unique topping. After breakfast, be sure to check out the animal viewing areas!
I highly recommend saddling up and heading to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at some point during the day. There are many great activities for your family and a Giddyap and Go picnic for you to enjoy at P & J’s Southern Takeout. Be sure to add on a Cornbread Loaf with a snack credit, as well as Strawberry Short Cakes all around!
Most of the Moderate and Value Resorts’ food courts have Make Your Own Salad and Pasta stations, which are really great with so many choices. If your dining location choice offers the Cheesy Pesto Bread for a snack credit, be sure to grab a slice to go along with your salad or pasta.
I hope these ideas help you plan a delicious day with your family. Thanks for stopping by and please let us know if you have any further questions.
