Hi Tina, and welcome to planDisney! I just love the tropical vibes at the
Polynesian Village Resort and am excited to hear that you’ll be staying there in just a couple of weeks. So let’s make sure you have all the information for that last leg of your journey!
Disney doesn’t offer transportation between the train station and the resort hotels, but there are a couple of options through third-party companies. The first is using a ride-share service, like Uber or Lyft, when you get there. This is what I usually use to get between the Orlando airport and Disney World. You can use their respective apps to request a ride when you arrive at the train station, or you can typically schedule a ride in advance as well.
Another option is to use a taxi or car service. There will probably be taxis outside the train station, but you can also arrange a ride in advance through a transportation company like Mears. I hope this helps as you figure out those last-minute vacation logistics.
Now, let’s chat about one of my favorite parts of staying at the Polynesian. I love that you can grab a DOLE Whip from
Pineapple Lanai before heading to the beach to watch Magic Kingdom’s fireworks or the
Electrical Water Pageant. Since you’ll be there from September into October, on select nights you can even see Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular during
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, right from the Polynesian! It’s one of the best resorts for fireworks watching because it has a centered view of Cinderella Castle. Be sure to check the
My Disney Experience app for showtimes.
One last thing I wanted to mention before I go. The weather is still pretty hot in Florida right now, so don’t forget that Disney Resort hotel guests get
complimentary water park admission on check-in day this year! It’s the practically perfect way to kick off your vacation… and maximize the magic!
I hope you have a pixie-dusted stay at the Polynesian later this month! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome at planDisney.
