We will be arr. in Orlando May 3 and would like to take advantage of a character dining experience on the day of arrival at Epcot. Do we have to use one of our park pass days just for dining reservations or is there a separate way to enter just to dine?

    Hi Heidi,

Our family loves the character dining experiences. This is a fantastic way to enjoy a delicious meal and get a chance to interact with the characters in a more controlled setting and allows for a few extra minutes for pictures and autographs.

Sounds like you are hoping to head to Garden Grill or Akershus at Norway. This would be a great way to begin your Disney World vacation, however the bad news is you will need to have admission into Epcot to dine at these locations. The parks do not offer a special entrance for guests wanting to just dine and  full admission day will be subtracted from your pass.

Hakuna Matata, no worries though, there are still a number of character dining experiences outside of the parks that you could enjoy without using a park pass. Grand Floridian features the 1900 Park Faire with Cinderella, Fort WIlderness has Mickey's Backyard BBQ with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, and the Contemporary Resort is home to the very popular Chef Mickey's with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto.

All of the character experiences are extremely popular so no matter where you choose, be sure to call 407-939-3463 right ways to check on availability.

    Wishing you a magical time!
