Hi Kelsey,
Wow that is a long day! I was on the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage and had a great time! The party started an hour before the fireworks. There were a variety of snacks and drinks you could munch on and bring aboard ship. You have a character greeting before leaving and then off you go to the boats.
On board, a pirate guides your trip telling jokes and playing games. Patch, our pirate, was hysterical! You then get to watch the fireworks from the water and you can even see Tink fly!
After the fireworks, more games and jokes on your boat ride home and then a surprise at the dock. Our cruise did not end until after 11. With Wishes starting at 9, you will be ending no earlier than 10. (One the best things about the cruise is no mass exodus from the park after the fireworks. You only have the other guests on the cruise to leave with which is wonderful.)
For my girls (11 and 13) this would be a long day. On a side note, the cruise will not happen if there is lightening for safety reasons but will have something at the Contemporary. It does sail in the rain as Moms Panelists Tanya, Margaret and I found out and bring a sweatshirt because it will be chilly on the water in November.
Have a magical first time!
Beth
