Hello, Arielle,
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney. And thank you for your sacrifices and service to our country as an Army veteran. With the upcoming semiquincentennial of the United States of America, it's exciting to see the many ways that Disney Parks, including the Disneyland Resort, are planning to celebrate the milestone and also honor the members of the US military, who tirelessly strive to maintain the freedoms we have enjoyed for nearly 250 years. I hope you feel like everyone at the Disneyland Resort is celebrating you too, Arielle!
You can find more information about the 2026 promotional ticket offer for members of the US Military on the Disneyland Resort website. There, you'll find the detail that "valid military identification will be required for purchase of 1-day tickets." Since you have already verified your ID with GOVX to create an account with them, you may proceed with your purchase of a 1-day ticket from them. The purchase process will walk you through making theme park reservations and loading your eTickets into your My Disneyland account. Then, you'll find your eTickets ready for use on the My Tickets & Passes screen of the Disneyland mobile app.
In some cases, a valid photo ID may be requested when first activating and using select promotional tickets and offers. For example, taking advantage of discount rates on hotel stays will require a valid ID at check-in. And the Disneyland website mentions "valid military identification will be required for purchase and use of 3-day and 4-day tickets." For situations like those, I recommend having your ID available. Valid forms of military ID that can be accepted at the Disneyland Resort include select legacy Uniformed Services ID (USID) card types, such as DD Form 2, DD Form 1173 or 1173-1 (must indicate "Spouse," "SP," or "DEC-DB") or DD Form 2765 (must indicate eligible status such as "DAV" or "DAVPRM" for 100% Disabled American Veterans). Also accepted at the Disneyland Resort are valid Next Generation Uniformed Services ID cards or Common Access Cards (CAC, except cards that indicate "Civilian" or "Contractor" affiliation). The DD Form 214 is not among the accepted forms of identification at Disney destinations.
I hope you have an incredibly magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Arielle. Should you have any more questions for us as you get ready to enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth, I hope you'll visit us again here at planDisney. Or just drop a note to let us know how your visit went.
Have a great time, Arielle!
