We are booked on 3-Night on Disney Wish. What time will be allowed on board on day 1, and what time will we actually be disembarking on the last day? Our flight doesn't leave Orlando until 3:30pm. We want to stay onboard and play as long as we can!

    Hello, Clarissa,

I'm right there with you! My family and I love to have as much time on our Disney Cruise Line ship as possible. The Disney Wish is my daughter's favorite ship. So she'd definitely agree with you too.

For the smoothest boarding process on embarkation day, be sure to complete your Online Check-In as much in advance as you can. A month or two before your cruise, depending on your stateroom type and Castaway Club level, you'll be able to complete your online check-in. During the process, you will upload images of your travel documents and photos of the passengers on your reservation, enter payment information for your onboard account, and select a Port Arrival Time. Selecting the earliest available Port Arrival Time will help ensure you are assigned a lower boarding group number so you may board and enjoy the ship as soon as possible.

On the day the Wish returns you to Port Canaveral, you will have one final breakfast onboard. You may choose to enjoy your breakfast with your regular rotational dining service team in your designated main dining room that morning, or you may choose to dine in Marceline Market. Besides those dining locations, the Guest Services Desk, the Shutters photography shop, and some of the ship's walkup cafés, other venues and services onboard will be closed that morning. After breakfast, unless you opt for express walk-off where you handle all of your own luggage, you may relax in a lounge or other available space onboard the ship while you wait for your assigned checked luggage tag group to be invited to disembark the ship. Usually, that process is complete within a few hours of the ship being cleared by customs authorities. Although we can't spend more time enjoying the ship's amenities that final morning, at least we can take comfort in knowing it's for a good reason. That is, Cast Members and crew use that time to meticulously prepare the ship for its next cruise itinerary leaving that day. Knowing that they will have done the same for the first day of my cruise makes me appreciate their hard work to get things "ship shape" to allow us to board as quickly as possible at the beginning of our cruise.

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, Clarissa. Please feel free to reach out to us again if you would like more tips and information to help you get ready for the most magical Disney Cruise Line vacation possible.

    Have a wonderful cruise, Clarissa!
