Aloha Armi,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with another question! We are glad to see you!
A Disney Cruise Line sailing to Alaska aboard
Disney Wonder is the trip dreams are made of, isn't it? You and your crew are going to be amazed by the majestic nature you will encounter at every turn. Speaking of nature, due to local regulations and environmental considerations, Disney Cruise Line sailings to Alaska (and Northern Europe, Norwegian Fjords, and British Isles) do not feature fireworks at sea.
Though the themed nights have not been announced for your particular itinerary, select 7-Night Alaskan cruises include the
Freezing the Night Away with Anna, Elsa and Friends! deck party and a "Frozen" dining experience. During the day, the ship's atrium is brought to life with frozen fractals all around and there are special events, including the chance to give your favorite Characters warm hugs. Armi, you can write back to us a few months before your sail date, and we should have more information about the theme night for your cruise.
Don't forget to mark your calendar for your
onboard booking window opening date. This is the date when you can book your
Port Adventures and special onboard activities requiring reservations. Alaskan cruises feature a wide range of Port Adventures from daring expeditions to simpler explorations of local culture. You won't need a reservation to cozy up on the
pool deck with a blanket (provided complimentary) and a hot chocolate while an onboard naturalist describes the wildlife and scenery surrounding the ship. Check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board for all the events and activities during your sailing.
I know the news about fireworks at sea isn't what you were hoping for, Armi, but your cruise to Alaska will be one you won't forget! Let us know if you have other questions; we are happy to help.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
