Hi there, Emily! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth this June. You're coming at a wonderful time with so much to see and do!
The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration makes it feel like magic is waiting around every corner. Be sure to check out the
Beacons of Magic in each of the parks which light up the night in new and surprising ways! Not only that, but the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom by the time you arrive. You won't want to miss sampling the outdoor kitchens or checking out all the character topiaries!
I love sprinkling the finishing touches of pixie dust on a magical vacation, including choosing my
MagicBands! Emily, you are right in saying that there aren't many options available for MagicBands at the moment. There has been a recent impact due to industry-wide supply chain issues, and even though the teams at Disney are working hard to improve the selection, the options currently feel limited. But no worries! Hakuna Matata! I have a few ideas that I think will be just right for you.
First, you can continue to check back and see which MagicBands are available for your trip. If you see some that you like, I'd scoop them up! You can also take a peek at which MagicBands are available on
shopDisney. They often have different styles you can choose from!
But Emily, I think I have the best solution of all, and that's the
Disney MagicMobile Service! This is a complimentary digital pass that works very similarly to a MagicBand, allowing you to enter the theme parks, connect to Disney PhotoPass images, and gain access to virtual queue attractions. To use this, log into your
My Disney Experience app and tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Tap Disney MagicMobile, then Change Pass Style to select what you want your digital pass to look like. You can even add this to your Apple Wallet if you have an iPhone or an Apple Watch!
While we're talking about the My Disney Experience app, I'd suggest taking some time to explore this app prior to your trip. A little like a magic wand, you'll be able to use this app to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even
mobile order food. This way, you know your meals and snacks will be ready for you before you ever feel a rumbly in your tumbly!
I hope I was able to help you with your questions today, Emily! If anything else pops up, please visit us again. Remember - you've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon!
