What area in Kidani Village would be best for me as a walk with a cane, I do not need a ADA room, just would rather not walk to the far reaches of the resort to get to my room. We have a savanna room booked.

    Welcome Home Kathleen!

Thanks for stopping by to see us again! I am so excited for your upcoming trip. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is my first Disney “home” and is such a unique place as it is home to over 30 species of hoofed animals and birds. You are going to love the view from your room!

The fantastic thing about your hotel is the SPACE, but that equates to a bit of walking, so hopefully, you get a room that will decrease your transit time. When you check-in via your My Disney Experience app or the computer, you will have the option for room requests. I would note “close to elevator” and “close to the lobby.” Doing this should keep you close to the central hub of the Resort, which is also close to complimentary transportation. You can also call Reservations at (407) 939-1936 to make your request over the phone. (Always remember, a request is just that, a request. While the Cast Members will do their best to accommodate, your room location is not guaranteed).

Kathleen, I know you said you do not need an accessible room, but you might want to make a plan for the Parks. The days can be long, and you certainly will be doing a lot of walking! Wheelchairs and ECVs are available for rent at all four Theme Parks. Also, if you have a disabled parking pass, you can use that for parking at the Resort, Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Springs.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. chEARs to a magical vacation!
