Welcome aboard, Kirsten! It sounds like you'll be setting sail on the
Disney Dream or
Disney Fantasy soon!
The
AquaDuck is a thrilling water coaster for the family to enjoy when you're in port or at sea. All guests who meet the height requirement of at least 42 inches are welcome to ride, but those under age seven or under 54 inches must ride with a friend. Children under seven must ride with someone older than 14. It sounds like your niece is older than seven, and also taller than 42 inches but not quite 54 inches. That's great news! She can certainly ride the AquaDuck, but will need to ride with someone over age 14. Those guests who are over 54 inches tall can choose to ride solo, or may also ride with a friend. The lifeguard at the bottom of the stairs to the AquaDuck will guide your family more about who can ride with whom. Honestly, it's more fun with a friend to share the thrill and excitement together! I love to ride with each of my kids, and my husband and I really enjoy riding the AquaDuck together too.
Before they head up into the funnel, if you take note of who is in line before your niece and her riding partner, it is fun for you to stand down on the pool deck watching the riders of the AquaDuck as they go through the slower part in the tube toward the end of the ride. When you see the people who were in line before her go through, that means your niece will fly by next! Get your camera ready and snap a photo as she glides through the tube, waving to you! We have lots of photos of my family floating through the AquaDuck, waving to everyone on the pool deck!
Have fun as you plan your magical adventure at sea with Captain Mickey, Kirsten!
