In April we are staying in a Studio at Bay Lake Tower. I am planning on ordering groceries and I know the refrigerator is small but I am wondering how much will actually fit in it? Is there a small freezer on top? I don't want to order too much!

    Hi Mary,

Isn't it so great that we, as Disney Vacation Club Members, have so many of the comforts of home while on vacation? I just love it!

The refrigerator that you will find in a Deluxe Studio Villa in Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is the standard mini-fridge. You will discover that it does have a very small freezer in the top with a small flap separating it from the larger, refrigerator section. I have managed to remove the bag of frozen waffles from the box, and squeeze it in there along with an ice pack for our cooler.  Beyond that, not much else is going to fit.

As far as the refrigerator section, you will find three shelves in the interior section and two wire shelves for cans or water bottles on the door.  My big advice is to order your milk in two, half-gallon bottles rather than one full gallon. Then you will have more flexibility with your remaining cool items.

Also, I always make sure to purchase a Rapid Fill Refillable Mug on our vacation. That way we don't fill our refrigerator with bottled water and other beverages. That leaves more space for our yogurt, fresh fruit, and other easy items that make breakfast on our private balcony convenient and tasty!

I hope that helps, Mary! Please come back and visit with any other questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
