In April, we are staying 3 nights at Boardwalk resort then transferring to Swan resort for 2 nights. On the morning we change resorts, what is the best option to transfer luggage? Are the two resorts close enough for us to walk with luggage?

    Randolph,

Many years ago I did the same transfer, just in the other direction, moving from the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel to Disney's BoardWalk Inn. With the walk being only about 1/4 of a mile, I preferred to just walk over with my luggage, check in, and then be on my way to the parks. Of course your room at the Swan is unlikely to be ready that early in the morning, but the bell services desk will be able to hold your luggage until you get there.

You can also simply ask the bell staff at the BoardWalk Inn to move your luggage over to the Swan for you. Jill recently answered a question about this, specifically related to the Swan Hotel, so you have it on good authority that this plan would work as well.  This is the more preferred option for guests, especially if you have a lot of bags.

By the way, if you are looking for a nice, relaxed night at the Swan, I always recommend Kimonos. It is where I first tried sushi, and it has a nice lounge-like feel.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
