Hi! Will be there in April 2020! DVC member & 2nd time at WDW. What type of coffee pots does Animal Kingdom Resorts use? Also, may we take the Minnie Van from our resort to the parks? if so, what app do we need?

    Hi Crystal,

Welcome home! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I absolutely love staying in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas as nothing beats the spectacular views of wildlife throughout the hallways and common areas. If you are lucky enough to have a Villa with a Savanna View, you can enjoy wildlife watching throughout your stay by stepping out onto your private balcony. I loved sipping my coffee in the morning, watching the wildlife roam around the savanna. You will be happy to hear that you will find a standard drip-style coffee maker with basket filters at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, aside from the Deluxe Studios where you will find a Cuisinart flat pod-style two-cup brewer. Whichever option, you will be able to enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the comfort of your villa.

The Minnie Van Service works with the Lyft app and is a great way to get around Walt Disney World. You can certainly use it from your resort to the parks and vice versa, requesting a ride and paying all through the easy to use app. In order to do so, you will just open the Lyft app from anywhere in Walt Disney World, select your destination, confirm your pickup location, and click “Select Minnie Van”, you will then be able to see your vehicle en route as well as the vehicle identification information to help you spot your car.

I hope this information helps you to make the most of your magical vacation in April! Be sure to check out the incredible International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot during your stay; with garden and exhibits, topiary displays, Outdoor Kitchens and the Garden Rocks Concert Series, you are sure to have some springtime fun! Please stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can help answer any more of your questions.
