What is an approx. time can we expect to be cleared by customs if we exit the ship at 9:00 AM? We are going to Universal after cruise and trying to decide if we should wait a day to go to Universal to get most out of time there. Thank you!

    Ahoy, Karen!

It is wonderful to hEAR from you again with another excellent question about your upcoming vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line

Disembarkation is my least favorite part of cruising because I never want to leave a Disney ship, but I have to say that Disney Cruise Line handles the process seamlessly. My family has debarked around 9:00 a.m. in the past and has found that the lines are very manageable at this time. Once you've collected your luggage from the terminal, you'll hop in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection line where you'll present proof of citizenship for each family member and one U.S. Customs Declaration Form for your crew. After that, you'll be free to exit the terminal and head to the Orlando area. I always estimate around 30 minutes to complete this process (lobby atrium to parking deck), but you may find it to take a few minutes less or more depending on the number of Guests choosing to disembark at the same time.

Karen, I hope this gives you a better idea of what to expect on the last morning of your cruise. If we can answer any additional questions, please let us know! Thank you again for allowing us to assist you with your magical plans.
