If I apply today for Disney credit card and I buy special event tickets will that purchase go towards the required transaction amount to receive my statement credit and gift card?

Hey, howdy, hey, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. It sounds like you're considering attending a Special Event at Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disney Visa Card offer is a fabulous way to get tickets. Let's look at how the application and purchasing process typically work.

I chatted with a helpful customer service representative who said that guests who are approved for the Disney Visa Card typically see the card linked to their My Disney Experience account within a few hours.

My tip is to make sure you've logged in to both accounts using the same email so the new card "autoMAGICcally" becomes your default payment method. I'm waving my magic wand so that the process goes smoothly for you!

Sometimes the card might not link to your account. In that situation, the representative suggested waiting for the physical card to arrive in 5-7 business days. You can also call the Help & Support line to expedite shipping, but there may be an additional fee.

If you're not approved immediately, that's usually because the company needs more information or time to process your application. You can call the help line anytime to check the status of your application.

Okay, now that we've covered the application and approval process, here's the best news: The purchase of Special Event tickets will go toward the amount required to receive the statement credit and other benefits of the specific card you applied for. Even if you purchase them on the same day you apply and are approved. That's what I call spending money to make money! Again, feel free to reach out to the Visa help line if you have any additional questions or issues.

I hope you're considering purchasing admission to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Those tickets just went on sale to the general public, so you should have a nice selection of available dates. I'm planning to go with a friend in September, so if you have any good costume ideas, please let me know! I'm thinking of dusting off my Cruella outfit; think she'll go as a Dalmatian?

Lisa, planDisney is always here to help plan your next Walt Disney World Resort adventure. Have the best time on your upcoming visit, and I hope to see ya real soon.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
