Heigh-Ho Judith,
Budgeting for a Walt Disney World vacation is a constant for me. I inevitably know I am returning and thus am always stashing cash for my return to The Most Magical Place On Earth. And as Walt Disney World prepares for
The World’s Most Magical Celebration beginning October 1, 2021, you know I’ll be there to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
Guests with a Walt Disney World vacation package can make payments towards their vacation through their My Disney Experience. Once paid in full, you cannot continue to add any monetary additions to your vacation package. However, Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel are privy to
charging privileges on their MagicBand. During
online check-in, Guests are prompted to enter a credit/debit card for additional room charges and to be linked to your MagicBand. At this time, you will assign a 4-digit PIN to be entered for security purposes at the time of purchase, when using your MagicBand. Your MagicBand can be used around the Walt Disney World Resort in stores, restaurants and many kiosks for a convenient way to pay. The MagicBand is tapped at a touchpoint and you will be prompted to enter your 4-digit PIN. The purchase will appear on your room bill and Guests can choose to pay it off daily, by visiting the Front Desk, or at the end of their stay. If charges/purchases reach a specific dollar amount (a Front Desk Cast Member can tell you the Magic Number) then your credit/debit card on file will be charged. I prefer to pay down my room charges daily and use either gift cards or whatever form of payment I prefer when it comes to this.
