Hello, Susan! Welcome to planDisney. We love helping our Kiwi travelers!
You've asked a great question. I have heard some Australia/New Zealand Resident Tickets have been extended until later this year. The expiration date on your tickets should be visible online via your Disneyland account or your
Disneyland Mobile app. However, you are correct...even if your tickets have expired, they still retain their value. Per
Disney's eTicket Terms & Conditions, any wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park ticket can typically be applied towards purchasing a new theme park ticket that is greater or equal in value. You'll just be responsible for paying the difference if there has been a price increase. For international guests, the easiest thing to do is to send an email to: Guest.services@disneyland.com. Make sure to allow at least 10 business days for a response.
As soon as your tickets are reissued and linked to your account, you'll need theme park reservations. Visit the Disneyland website and click "
Make Park Reservations." Also, to maximize your time, I recommend reserving one of the three onsite hotels at Disneyland Resort:
The Disneyland Hotel,
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, or
Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa. Not only do you have easy access to the parks, but hotel guests can also take advantage of admission to Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park 30 minutes early each day. Check the
Early Entry webpage for details.
I hope your holiday is magical, Susan! Please feel free to write back anytime!
