Ahoy, Amy, from a fellow Illinoisian! I’m so glad you found us here at planDisney to ask your Disney Cruise Line question.
I am a big fan of budgeting for all my Disney vacations by purchasing Disney Gift Cards. I often purchase them for a discount. Then, I head to the
Disney Gift Card website to combine them into larger amounts. You can put up to $1000 on a card. This makes is so much more convenient when it comes time to pay for something, such as a cruise payment.
So…yes! You can absolutely use Disney Gift Cards towards your DCL cruise. In fact, you can even bring gift cards with you on your cruise to pay for all your onboard expenses as well. These include adult beverages, gratuities, spa treatments, port adventures, shop purchases, and any other onboard purchases.
Be sure to load the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app onto your smart phone asap. There is a wealth of information there, plus a super adorable cruise countdown calendar. You can even book your port adventures when the time comes right through the app. Then, once onboard, the app becomes your best friend! Between messaging your family and seeing all the daily activities, you will find it convenient to have this all right in your pocket.
I hope this helps with planning your cruise for next year! Please sail in to see us again as you find yourself with more questions about Disney Cruise Line.
Happy Cruising,
Tracy
