Hey there, Amanda!
I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! It looks like your
summertime visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner. I bet you're in full countdown mode by now…double-checking your packing list, putting the finishing touches on your plans, and daydreaming about that magical moment when you finally step through the gates. Before you know it, you'll be soaking in the sights, sounds, and excitement of Walt Disney World. The magic is calling, Amanda, and you're almost there!
Walt Disney World is committed to making the magic accessible for
Guests with all abilities, and a variety of accommodations are available to help meet different needs. One of those accommodations is
Disability Access Service (DAS).
DAS is designed for Guests with developmental disabilities who are unable to tolerate a conventional standby queue for an extended period of time. To determine eligibility, you'll first complete a live video chat with a Disney Cast Member. Before starting the conversation, be sure you're signed in to your My Disney Experience account and that everyone traveling with you is linked through your Family & Friends list. The Guest requesting DAS must also be present for the video chat.
Since I see you'll be traveling from the United Kingdom, you'll need to wait until you've arrived in the United States before registering. Once you're stateside, simply open the
My Disney Experience app and begin the live video chat with a Cast Member to start the process.
Amanda, as a quick reminder, if you're staying at a Disney Resort during your visit, you'll receive
complimentary water park admission on your check-in day. It's a great way to splash right into vacation mode.
Thank you so much for visiting us at planDisney. Have a MAGICAL vacation!
