Welcome to The Disney Parks Moms Panel, John! When I return home from The Most Magical Place on Earth, I'm always sad to take my
MagicBand off and return to the world of having to carry around a purse and wallet 24/7. Luckily, with Apple Pay, we can come close to that MagicBand experience in real life. I recently became a big fan when I realized I left my wallet at home, and I had a cart full of groceries already scanned by the cashier. I was relieved when she showed me the Apple Pay option on the card reader...crisis avoided!
I spoke with Disney's Internet Help Desk today at (407) 939-4357, and the Cast Member explained that
My Disney Experience is not yet set up for the Apple Pay option. However, my two tech-savvy friends,
Rayna and
Tony, have come to the rescue and have offered a few tips they'd like me to share with you.
Rayna said her card associated with Apple Pay is linked to her MacBook computer. When she renewed her Annual Passes a little while back, all she did was use her finger for touch ID, and her purchase was complete...Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! Tony's Apple Card is also stored on his Mac. If he uses it on a website that has him fill in a credit card number, he can use the Keychain built into the Mac to retrieve that number and copy it to the website. Doing that allows him to get 1% cashback on his Apple Card.
Hopefully, some pixie dust comes your way, and this works for you. However, an alternate option (if you are trying to maximize your savings) would be to purchase
Disney Gift Cards at your local Target or grocery store, which usually accept Apple Pay, and then use those to pay for your
theme park tickets online.
Best of luck, John, and please write back if there's anything else we can do!
