Ashley, I have dreams about the poutine at
Le Cellier Steakhouse- it is SOOOO good! My favorite is Le Cellier's Signature Poutine with Red Wine Reduction sauce. Unfortunately, it's no longer on the menu, but you can still request it. This yEAR, Le Cellier is offering a different poutine each month influenced by the countries in World Showcase- currently, it is Crispy Soy Pork Belly Poutine inspired by the China Pavillion.
I spoke with two Disney Dining Cast Members today, and I received two different answers regarding your questions (one said, "Yes, definitely!" while the other said, "Sorry, but no."). Substitutions on the
Deluxe Dining Plan often vary by restaurant, so it never hurts to ask your server what their policy is. If you're not able to swap the appetizer for poutine, I'd recommend getting the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, which is delicious when paired with the complimentary Pretzel Bread. I always have to stop myself from overeating so I can enjoy the Le Cellier Filet Mignon (my last visit, I requested and received the recipe for the beloved Mushroom Risotto that comes with it). I've heard the Maple Whiskey Glazed Brussels Sprouts on the Enhancements menu are great, but if you end up with dessert, try the Maple Creme Brulee. It's been on the menu for yEARs, and it's my go-to choice when dining there.
Ashley, last yEAR, some of my Disney Parks Moms Panel friends and I attended
Epcot's International Festival of the Holidays (which should be occurring during your trip). We all loved the Turkey Poutine with Sweet Potato Fries from the Refreshment Port near the Canadian Pavillion - it tasted just like Thanksgiving!
