Hi Theresa, welcome back to planDisney from a fellow Passholder! Lightning Lane passes can be a real time saver, allowing you to skip the standby line for a shorter wait. And less time in line means more time for enjoying ALL the Mickey-shaped snacks!
We’re coming up on your visit, so don’t forget that with
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can pre-book 3
multi pass experiences ahead of your visit. The booking window opens at 7:00am EST on your first eligible day. If you’re staying at a
Disney Resort hotel or other select hotels, you can book starting 7 days ahead of your stay, for your length of stay. All other guests can book up to 3 days before their park visit.
Now, let's talk park hopping! One of the great things about Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that it’s as flexible as Elastigirl, especially if you plan to visit another park later in the day. In my experience, you can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a park different from the one you hold a theme park reservation. So if you plan to “rope drop” Animal Kingdom, you can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for EPCOT. Note that all three of your pre-booked selections have to be for attractions in the same park.
But there is a way to use Lightning Lane Multi Pass for multiple parks in one day! Once you scan in at your first Lightning Lane entrance, you can make an additional selection for an attraction at any park (subject to availability). So if you plan to start the day exploring the backside of water in
Magic Kingdom, once you scan in at the
Jungle Cruise Lightning Lane entrance, you're free to book a multi pass experience at
Hollywood Studios.
Speaking of Hollywood Studios, if you’re looking for some good old-fashioned comfort food, don’t miss
50’s Prime Time Cafe. I have a permanent craving for Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken and the Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake. And on your way over, don’t forget to wave hi to Gertie the dinosaur!
Wishing you a magical trip filled with fun rides and lots of park hopping!
JoAnna
