Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carla! I'm married to the son of a dairy farmer, so I consider myself quite the connoisseur when it comes to milkshakes at Walt Disney World Resort. While we're anxiously awaiting
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop's return on December 26, I'd be happy to give you the
scoop on a few alternatives.
Walt Disney World has really upped its dessert game in recent years. For the most Insta-worthy shakes in
Magic Kingdom Park, try
The Plaza Restaurant. They typically have a featured milkshake each month that is advertised on a signboard outside. Some are more elaborate than others, but they are all yummy!
If you're willing to venture over to
Disney Springs, I think
Planet Hollywood's Super Nova Shakes are exactly what you're looking for. These are a mashup of a dessert and a milkshake, which is a popular trend these days. Also located in Disney Springs is
Vivoli il Gelato, where they have some cute holiday-themed shakes right now; The Melting Snowman is perfect for picture taking and consists of vanilla gelato, Fanta Berry, and whip cream! The most delicious shakes, in my opinion, are found at
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop...you had me at Chocolate Bar infused Milkshake!
Although not quite as pretty, I have a couple of honorable mentions. Anyone talking about Walt Disney World milkshakes would be remiss if they didn't recommend the Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake at
50's Prime Time Café.
Whispering Canyon Cafe is known for its "Bottomless" Milkshakes, and I highly recommend the caramel one; pack your stretchy pants if you eat here!
I hope this helps, Carla! Have a magical trip tomorrow!
