Will anywhere be open early for coffee for spectators before the half marathon 1/7/17? (at resorts or near race start) Thanks!

    Hi John!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The early wake up calls for runDisney races can definitely require a pixie-dusted caffeine fix and I'm glad to let you know your spectators will have a couple options.

If your spectators have purchased the ChEAR Squad package they will have a special viewing area with an assortment of hot and cold beverages at the finish line!

Another great location for spectators to grab coffee and have a great view of runners is on Main Street, U.S.A. inside Magic Kingdom. A ticket is not required for spectators and this area will open at 5:30 AM. I contacted Guest Services to confirm whether there are special hours on race weekends and was told Main Street Bakery which serves Starbucks coffee will be open! The Spectator Resources tab for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend on runDisney's website can provide more detail on runner viewing inside Magic Kingdom.

If you are staying at a Moderate or Deluxe resort on-property one of your in room amenities is a coffee maker! For the Value resorts, the suites have a coffee maker in room, but standard rooms vary by resort. If one is not in the room upon arrival Guest Services on property may be able to accommodate and have one brought to your room.

I hope you enjoy Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and I'm sending happy thoughts for the runner in your party!
