Is there anywhere at Disney World that my child can meet / see Sleeping Beauty or maleficent?

Hello, Patoa! Thank you for bringing your excellent question to planDisney! I hear your Mouseketeer is looking forward to meeting my friend, Briar Rose (better known as Princess Aurora), on your upcoming trip. Let's see if we can track her down!

The last time I saw her, Aurora was in EPCOT near World Showcase Lagoon across from the France Pavillion, and she looked pretty in her pink gown! I just checked the Entertainment Schedule on the My Disney Experience app, and unfortunately, she is no longer making official appearances there. Currently, Belle is greeting guests while Sleeping Beauty is off taking a long nap, but hopefully, she wakes up and returns by your trip! EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park both have some excellent character experiences, however. Guests can walk up to the area where the princess is meeting and wave to her from a distance. Make sure to have your cellphone or camera out, so you can take a selfie or a few photos of your child.

But hold on, Patoa... it was just announced that the Festival of Fantasy Parade is returning to Magic Kingdom Park beginning March 9 – the anniversary of the parade's debut in 2014! The star of the show is the fire-breathing Maleficent dragon which looms 26 feet above the parade route and is a whopping 35 feet in length. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the heroic Prince Phillip will be there, ready for battle while Aurora watches from afar with Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather! You'll want to check the Entertainment Schedule in your app for exact parade times before you go.

I hope your trip is a fairytale come true, Patoa!
