    Is there anywhere on Disney property that gift cards are not accepted? I would like to use gift cards for as much as possible on my trip!

    Hi Mallory!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! I, too, uses gift cards almost exclusively on my Disney vacations. They make great stocking stuffers, birthday gifts, etc. leading up to your vacation. They are not only a great way to help you stay on budget during your vacation, they are also a great way to teach kids how to stay on a budget as well.

    There are two types of gift cards primarily accepted on Disney properties:

    • Visa, Mastercard and American Express gift cards - These card can be used everywhere on property where a regular credit card would be used. They can also be used anywhere off-property if you are planning an adventures outside of Disney.
    • Disney Gift Cards - These cards can ONLY be used on Disney properties, at the Disney Store,  Disneystore.com, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney, Disney Photopass and Club Penguin. The terms and conditions of the Disney Gift Card will give you a better idea of where they are NOT accepted.
    • Disney Dollars - Similar to a Disney Gift Card, they are accepted on Disney property and at other Disney owned locations. They also make fun gifts. In our house, the Tooth Fairy paid out in Disney Dollars.
