Hi Zack, and welcome back to planDisney. With just a few more weeks before your trip, you’ll be right in the middle of the magic before you know it! Now, let’s figure out where to get changed in the parks.
I totally understand wanting to switch into a different outfit later in the day. Sometimes I want a sweatshirt once the temperatures drop in the evening or to wear a fresh set of clothes after sweating in the sun all day! While there aren’t any dedicated spaces for changing in the theme parks, you can use the
restrooms. I like to
rent a locker so I don’t have to carry extra clothes around during the day. When it’s really cold at night, I’ll sometimes bring a packable down jacket that compresses to fit in my park bag, and then I don’t even need the locker.
The
water parks on the other hand do have changing areas near the showers. And if you’re a
Disney Resort hotel guest, this year you get complimentary water park admission on check-in day! It’s my new favorite way to relax and kick off the vacation.
You chose a beautiful time to visit because the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be underway! The park is filled with colorful flowers and plants for the event, including lots of
Disney character topiaries. I love looking for all the different ones while enjoying yummy small plates from the
Outdoor Kitchens. Be sure to check out the
Foodie Guide on
Disney Parks Blog to preview the exclusive offerings. My favorites are the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade at Pineapple Promenade and the Avocado Toast at BRUNCHCOT (topped with pretty edible flowers, often harvested from the greenhouses you see on
Living with the Land--how cool is that?!).
Some of my other festival must-dos are finding all the different
PhotoPass Magic Shots (there’s a
new one this year with a Figment topiary!) and watching the
Garden Rocks Concert Series at night.
I’m wishing you safe travels and a magical visit to Disney World in May! If you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
