Hi Chris, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Visiting Walt Disney World Resort is definitely a ton of fun, but can also be exhausting for both young and old! You'll see many, MANY children dozing in strollers or on a parent's shoulder while in the theme parks. When my children were small, we would sometimes find a quiet spot in the shade where a baby or toddler could nap in the stroller while the rest of the family could sit down and rest their feet while recharging with a cool beverage or snack. My fellow panelist
Rayna reminded me that
Tom Sawyer Island at
Magic Kingdom Park is an awesome place to rest and relax!
The
Baby Care Centers provide a cool, quiet spot for parents to care for their young children. There are feeding and changing facilities, a semi-private nursing area, restrooms with toddler-sized toilets, and a small shop with baby essentials. There is not an area set aside for children to nap.
If you are looking for your child to have more than just a cat-nap, returning to your hotel room is likely the best option. Even though my "children" are now teens and adults, we still take a mid-day break to nap and relax. It is a wonder what a nap can do for kids and parents alike! We find everyone is refreshed and ready to dive back into all the fun after a break of a few hours.
If you are looking for a
sitting service, Kid's Nite Out is an independent childcare provider that offers in-room babysitting, and can also provide in-park assistance.
I hope that helps! Please visit the Moms Panel again with any other questions you may have. Enjoy your stay!
