Ho-Ho-Ho Lesli and welcome back to planDisney!
It truly is the most wonderful time of the yEAR to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! If you are like me, you are so excited about your upcoming trip home, that you have probably packed at least twice by now.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a fantastic special event that occurs on select evenings at Magic Kingdom. Tickets to the party are limited and once they are sold out, there is unfortunately no standby or cancellation list. My only suggestion that I can offer, is to stop by the Guest Services window and ask if there are any tickets available. It is a long shot, but I have heard of a very few instances where additional tickets became available. With a little pixie dust, you may be able to purchase some at the last minute.
Hakuna Matata - just in case you are not able to attend the party, remember there are tons of amazing holiday activities you can enjoy. One of our favorites is an afternoon of resort hopping to see the beautiful decorations and gingerbread masterpieces at select
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. You can even purchase some of the delicious gingerbread treats from the shop inside the gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and sit and enjoy the gorgeous tree and music in their lobby. And don't forget to enjoy the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays - Candlelight Processional. This touching story of Christmas is told nightly by a celebrity narrator while being accompanied by the most talented orchestra and choir. It is my absolute favorite event at Walt Disney World Resort! Seats fill up quickly, and the line often forms well in advance of the readings so be sure to be there early if you wish to have a seat for the performance.
Bonus tip - be sure to slow down and enjoy the magic of the holidays with that special Disney touch. As much as we love the attractions, there is something about watching the snow on Main Street U.S.A. or the way the lights twinkle against the trees at Disney's Hollywood Studios that only comes once a year. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
Wishing you the most magical vacation!
Margaret
