Is there anyway to find out if Disney will offer the free dining plan to the public in 2008. If so how do they do this. I know in the past it has been offered as a bounce back offer. Been to Disney the last two years and hoping for free DDP in 2008!!

    Hello Jen-

The Disney Dining Plan has become very popular with guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts.  I have used Disney Dining and have found it helpful to have prepaid for my meals.

I do not know of any current offerings for free Disney Dining Plan.  In the past, it has been offered free in August and September but that is all subject to change.

If you book your vacation and you find out Disney is offering free Disney Dining and you meet the criteria, simply call Disney and ask for the Dining Plan to be added.  This must be done at least three days prior to check in at a Walt Disney World Resort and at least 48 hours prior to a Disney Vacation Club check in.

You can watch for announcements about Disney Dining Plan offerings on the Walt Disney World Resorts website or other mouse friendly websites such as Mousesavers which I sign up for their newsletters.  Also, if you belong to AAA, they also make announcements about Walt Disney World Resort specials as well.

Good luck and I hope you have a magical and delicious vacation!
