Can anyone tell me (roughly) the price for Afternoon Tea at GF? Looking to enjoy on our last day and I want to make sure we budget correctly but I can't seem to find any info on pricing. 66 sleeps and counting :)

Hi, Clare!  My family LOVES afternoon tea at the Garden View Lounge at the Grand Floridian.  It is an annual holiday tradition for me to bring my girls there during Christmas week.

Prices vary widely, as you can opt for a complete tea service or choose a la carte options.  One of the complete services, for example, offers tea sandwiches, scones, jam tarts, and a choice of fresh strawberries and cream or pastries.  That one, the Buckingham, runs about $23 per person.  There are more expensive offerings that come with a glass of champagne, potted shrimp, or pate.  You can go up to nearly $40 for some of the complete tea service choices.

The a la carte menu lets you customize the tea experience.  You can choose just scones from $3.50 or opt for a plate of tea sandwiches in the $10 range.  Tea selections are about $6.25 per pot.

Prices are estimates, based on my last experience, and are subject to change, but this should give you a fair idea of how things go.  My girls and I always order the Buckingham, as it has the most traditional components of an afternoon tea the way my Irish grandmothers would have done it, and for $23, it really serves as enough of a meal to count as lunch.

    Have a wonderful time!
