    Can anyone tell me about the food choices at Chef Mickey's (both breakfast and dinner)? How about at Garden Grill character dining? Trying to decide between those two! Thanks!!

    The menus for these, and all WDW restaurants, can be found on the website allearsnet.com. Go to this site, click the search button (near the top right) and search on the name of the restaurant. You should get a hit that lists the menu. The WDW chefs do tinker from time to time, but you should get a really good overview here. Let me point out a few of the differences between these dining experiences:

    Chef Mickey's is the classic character buffet meal, located in the Contemporary Resort, just a quick monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom. There are a variety of choices to suit any palate. This is a large restaurant and it can be a bit loud. Periodically there will be celebration song played where guests are invited to wave their napkins around and some children may be invited to dance with a character. There is an impressive dessert buffet as well as soft serve ice cream on tap (even at breakfast). This is where my twin daughters chose to have their 6th birthday dinner; it's a festive atmosphere.

    The Garden Grill is the Land pavilion at Epcot; you'll need use a park admission ticket to get there. This character dining experience is a more limited menu served family style. Your server will first bring to the table nice bread and a really lovely salad. I dined at the Garden Grill a few weeks ago and was pleased with how fresh the vegetables were; some of them are grown right there in the gardens of the Land. The main meal is fried catfish, steak, and chicken, with more yummy veggies on the side. Dessert is a fruit cobbler. You can request more of any of the items you like. The unique thing about the Garden Grill is that the restaurant actually moves! The entire dining area revolves around various scenes in the Living with the Land ride, so your view is constantly changing. Many of the seats in this restaurant are in very private booths, so the atmosphere is calmer and quieter than Chef Mickey's.

    These are both great choices. You really can't go wrong with either one.
