    Can anyone tell me how far Disney Art Animation Resort and the Magic Kingdom are from each other and if there are any grocery stores within walking distance?

    Hi Stephanie!

    The newest additions to Disney's resort roster is Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  With buildings themed to favorite movies such as Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo and the Little Mermaid, kids of all ages are bound to love staying here during their Disney vacation!

    AOA and Magic Kingdom are approximately 2.3 miles away from each other.  Drive time from resort to theme park would be approximately 6-8 minutes.  Unfortunately there are no grocery stores within walking distance of the theme parks and/or resorts.  The closest supermarket/grocery store would have the Publix on 192. There are actually two of them, on opposite sides of W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. The drive from your resort to Publix would probably be about a good 20 minutes with decent traffic. Having visited both these supermarkets, I highly recommend them. 

    Another option for you might be to look into Garden Grocer. They deliver to the resorts, and you are able to place your order in advance! They come highly recommended by many of the Moms on the panel! One caveat to GG is that they do require a minimum total of $40.00. You can find more information at GardenGrocer.com.
