Can anyone tell me about your experience at the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort? We will be traveling in May of this year. Thanks.

Hi, Joy!  My family has stayed a few times at the Caribbean Beach Resort.  You'll have to let me know if I don't address your particular questions, but I'll let you know how our stays have been!

The resort is lush and tropical, and you really will feel transported to a Caribbean location.  With more than 2000 rooms, you would think it would be noisy, but the resort is a sprawling oasis, so we've never had any issues with noise or traffic.  None of the buildings here have elevators, which I did not know the first time I visited.  Normally, that would be fine for us, but I was seven months pregnant with a preschooler in tow, and it was quite a haul to drag the stroller and all of the accessories along with a sleeping child up the steps.  You can request ground floor if this may be an issue for your family.

Old Port Royale, which is the center of the action at this resort, features an amazing pool area.  You'll find an awesome pirate ship here for splashing and playing, and the pool itself is beautiful.  There are eight other pools at the resort, so if you want to stay close to your building, you shouldn't have to go far to find a pool.

If you plan on relaxing, you'll find beaches with hammocks just waiting to help you spend a lazy afternoon.  If you want something more active, you'll find boats and bikes and other activity rentals available.

There is a good sized food court for quick dining options, or you might choose a sit down meal at Shutters restaurant.  I love the black bean soup there!

Oh, and if you want something different, you can book pirate themed rooms!

I hope your vacation is wonderful!
