Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 3-day Discover Disney Park Hopper & the 3-day Disney Select Park Hopper tickets? I plan on visiting sometime between June & July 2018, so I would also like to know if there are any blockouts.

Hi Arianna and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There are lots of fun things happening this summer at the Walt Disney World Resort and your vacations times will put you right in the middle of the action!

Florida residents are getting a great deal with the Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets. You will be happy to hear that there are no black-out dates with these tickets. The only caveat is, they must be used by June 24, 2018. They won’t be valid after that date.

The 3-Day Disney Select Tickets are still a good deal for us Floridians and while they will cost a little more, they have no black-out dates and expire 180 days after their first use. You just have to use them before December 31, 2019.

Arianna, if your dates fall sometime in early to mid-June, I’d say save a few bucks and purchase the Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets. If you plan to visit in July, you would have to go with Disney Select Tickets. Either way you will have a great time enjoying the theme parks!

A good thing to note, if you are leaning toward the July dates, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be celebrating the newest addition to the park with the opening of Toy Story Land on June 30th! You will feel just like a toy visiting Andy’s backyard. I can’t wait to take a ride on the Slinky Dog Dash!

Now just one more thing about your tickets, no matter which kind you choose, you will have to show Proof of Florida Residency at Guest Relations or the park ticket window. Then your magical vacation can begin!

Arianna, I hope I’ve given you the information you need to continue your planning. Come back to see us soon!
