Does anyone have any regrets about joining the Disney Vacation Club? I realize it is a very personal choice. we love Disney, and are ready to take the plunge. I was just looking for any last minute advice before we do or advice about points for a cruise.

    Hi Carla,

I love my Disney Vacation Club membership! For my family, it was and continues to be a great way for us to enjoy vacationing with the Walt Disney family.

Without the Disney Vacation Club, we would not be able to go to Walt Disney World each year on vacation or stay at the deluxe accommodations we do stay in. We also would not be able to treat our extend families to a week's vacation either but the membership has allowed us so much flexibility that we can take advantage of a big vacation with them.

We have also taken two cruises using our points. We simply banked and borrowed points to have enough points to take us on the cruise. It was wonderful! You can use a point calculator to figure out how many points you need and call to make a reservation. You even find out your stateroom that day so you can begin figuring out the other fun adventures to have on the boat.

Before you take the plunge, I would make sure you want to commit to a vacation with Disney every three years at a minimum. Also, how long do you want that commitment to last? My husband and I love Disney so for us it was not just about our daughters but also about us. Now that Aulani (awesome!!) is available, I am even happier we made the decision.

    Enjoy and hopefully Welcome Home!
