Hi Clare!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by to see us while planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Whether your trip is
Just Around the Riverbend or further in the future, we're happy to help!
Clare, Walt Disney World Resort has a
variety of accommodations available to guests - one being Disney's
Disability Access Service (DAS). Since the needs of each guest are unique, you'll find the process around DAS to be very individualized. Once you have arrived in the United States and are within 30 days of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you can participate in a live virtual chat with a specially trained Cast Member to review your specific needs and determine which accommodations would be most appropriate for you. While these conversations will no longer take place in person after May 20, 2024, you can
stop by Guest Relations and they can assist you with a device and connect you with a member of the DAS team if needed. There are some great
Frequently Asked Questions for Guests with Disabilities available on the Walt Disney World Resort website that may also assist you with your planning.
If you haven't yet booked your vacation, you may want to check out the great
special offers currently available! I always like to start my vacation planning by picking my resort hotel. As a mom of three, our family spends a lot of time at
Magic Kingdom Park so I love the convenience of staying at
Disney's Contemporary Resort which is within walking distance of Cinderella Castle! There is also great dining here, including one of my all-time favorites,
California Grill. If you time your dinner reservation right, you may be treated to a gorgeous view of
Happily Ever After.
Clare, I hope this helps you prepare for your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! You are always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney and we hope to see you again real soon if you have any other vacation planning questions!
Cheers,
Kristi
