    Hello! Does anyone know when will Typhoon Lagoon reopen? It says is closed for Refurbishment. I am going May22nd - May 25th. Thank you! Cecilia

    Thanks for your question!

    So the Water Parks, like Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, are typically closed once per year for repairs and upkeep. These are usually done during the colder months at the start of the year when a day at an outdoor water park may not be ideal.

    But no worries, in May it should be open as usual, as you will see from this calendar on the Walt Disney World website. From what I can tell Typhoon Lagoon is re-opening during the last few days of March. The park appears to be open at 10 am each of the days of your trip, closing at 5 pm on weekdays and 6 pm on weekends. 

    DOUG'S TIP: Swimming can really burn a lot of calories. To refuel you should really visit Happy Landings Ice Cream. Consider the Sand Pail Sundae to be your jet fuel for more slides down the Humunga Kowabunga!
