Anyone know where to get a custom fondant cake and 48 cupcakes from? I have called Disney (407-827-2253) four times over the last 3 1/2 weeks and have never received a phone call back. Any other bakeries in the area that delivery to a hotel at disney?

Hi Debbie! Sounds like you're planning a delicious special occasion! The number you've been calling is the Cake Hotline, which is usually the initial point of contact for cake orders. I'm sorry that you've had so much trouble reaching someone there. (I expect that you'll eventually receive a return call; they may just be especially busy now, but I know the lack of response is frustrating for you.)

When you call the Cake Hotline to order a fondant-covered cake, your request is generally referred to Private Dining at the Grand Floridian, The Contemporary, the Boardwalk Inn, the Animal Kingdom Lodge, or the Yacht and Beach Club. The pastry chefs at those resorts create fancy cakes which can be delivered to your resort room if you're a guest at one of those hotels or to a restaurant in one of those hotels if you having a dining reservation there. I recommend that you contact one of those resorts and speak directly with Private Dining about your cake order.

Another option is Babycakes NYC, which recently opened at Downtown Disney. This bakery specializes in delicious vegan and gluten-free cakes and cupcakes. You can reach Babycakes at 407-938-9044.

Hope this helps! If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again here at the Moms Panel!
