Does anyone know if your child is allowed to sit on your lap going down the water slide at the boardwalk inn's pool? My 5 yr old son is afraid to go down by himself.

    Hi Mark,

Our family has spent many vacations at the Boardwalk Resort and my three boys love the clown wooden water slide there. Slightly odd to look at the large clown face but a great deal of slip sliding fun. Unfortunately for safety reasons, your son will not be able to sit on your lap to enjoy the water slide. Guests do need to go down the slide one at a time, and feet first on their bottom.

You would be able to go down the slide first and then wait near the bottom for him. There are also life jackets available for his use, and these can be used while on the slide. Perhaps the vest make make him more confident to slide alone. Otherwise, I would let him decide if he is ready for this solo slide attempt and if not, I am sure he will still have a fantastic time. Be sure to stop by in the afternoon to enjoy the fun pool activities and games that the lifeguards offer.

Have fun and good luck. I hope he is able to conquer the slide!
