Does anyone know of a better week or time of the month in either November or December 2018 that is less crowded than other times? Like no major cheer competitions or special event weeks other than the Christmas Party.

    Hi there, Anita!

You've picked the most beautiful time of the year to consider for vacationing to Walt Disney World. The temperatures have cooled off from the summer time highs, there's an extra bit of pixie dust swirling around in the form of holiday decorations, and the fun holiday events make it my favorite place to be during the holiday season.

There are usually a whole slew of events going on over at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. In looking at the schedule, however, there seems to be a decent break after the Pop Warner Super Bowl and the Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Competition. Both of those events are currently scheduled to wrap up on December 8th, and the next scheduled event takes place on December 27th.

Now, the schedule is always subject to change, and there may be other things going on that won't appear on the main calendar of events, but if you're looking for a "sweet spot", it looks like if you can make it between December 9th and the Christmas holiday, you should be able to enjoy the holiday spirit.

If you plan on going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance. The event does sell out, and it's such a great way to usher in the festive season. They get me every year with the mention of Christmas cookies.

Happy planning, Anita! If there's anything else we can do to help you, you know just where to find us.
