Hi! Does anyone happen to know what the theme will be for the WDW Half Marathon on Jan 6th, 2018? I heard that is might be Toy Story, but I'd like to be 100% sure. Thanks so much! Thanks so much!

    Hi Renee!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds to me like you may be planning a fun runDisney costume to match the theme of your race! I love seeing what everyone comes up with and it's such a fun part of runDisney.

The Pixar theme is being used for Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend this year! The runDisney Kids Race will have an Up! theme. The Incredibles will be there to help the participants in the Disneyland 5K dash to the finish line. Monsters University will scare runners across 6.2 miles and the beloved gang from Toy Story will accompany runners to Infinity and Beyond during the Disneyland Half Marathon!

While it is always subject to change, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend has had a consistent theme for the past couple years focusing on the classic characters we all know and love. The Walt Disney World 5K theme focuses on our favorite loyal pet, Pluto, and the Walt Disney World 10K caters to Miss Minnie Mouse! The Walt Disney World Half Marathon lets Donald Duck shine in the spotlight and the Walt Disney World Full Marathon is for Mickey Mouse. Those that run the half and full together accomplish the Goofy Race and Half Challenge and those that run all four accomplish the ultimate runDisney challenge, the Dopey Challenge!

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I'm sending pixie dust your way
